Nearly 15,000 runners from 87 countries took part in the 29th Angkor Wat International Half Marathon on December 1st, in the presence of Prime Minister Hun Manet and many members of the Cambodian government who also got their jerseys wet.
The partner laboratories PPM and FAES supported this major sporting event on the historic and tourist site of Angkor by distributing free of charge to participants the analgesic Kinal Baume from PPM to massage the muscles before running and the energizing Potanciator from the FAES laboratory.
According to Dr. Sai Seymom, PPM-FAES Sales Manager, PPM Laboratories donated 150,000 Kinal Strips and 15,000 tubes of Kinal Baume while FAES donated 1,500 ampoules of Protenciator to the Cambodia Marathon Organizing Committee for distribution to runners and health services deployed at the event.
“We are very honored to have participated in this way in this great international event in the magnificent setting of Angkor because this half-marathon, accessible to all, was an opportunity for us to better publicize our mission, which is to improve the health and well-being of all. Moreover, this marathon has a humanitarian scope, as we do in the context of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy,” she emphasized. In addition to the donation to the Organizing Committee, PPM-FAES offered Kinal Baume and Protentiator products to marathon participants in front of their booth on November 29 and 30 when they came to get their official runner’s kits. At the PPM-FAES booth, Khmer and foreign runners were also able to participate in a lottery with many gifts.
